I recently sold a whole studded “bag” trend, but I’m still a little scared. Before I saw the Linea Pelle Dylan Medium Tote, I did not come in a bag with studs only will I really wear. I would hope, a bevy of reasons.
For me, many studded bags just seem way too over-the-top, and a bit dangerous for my hand in case of studded clutches. But this little tote is still in good position studied; This wraps around the base of the bag and staples to the top and bottom of the belt that connects the straps on the bag. Even better, the material and the zipper is the same light shade of gold as the round nails, flowing design throughout the tote.
The combination of fasteners and nails are not too rocker as expected, but it serves as a welcome contrast to the buttery, almost gently wrinkled Italian leather; The rugged shininess of the upright and jaggedness of the zipper adds a casual touch to that skin. So far, this week was good for bags, as in, I found some great bags for review. But when I came across this Hobo Botkier Sydney innocent while browsing online, it was clear that these happy three days of the good bags were over. I saw this bag and thought, “What is it?” And I still do not know.
I even checked the size photo of the bag over, stretch and that really, really made it worse. It just made me think that this bag was for someone to make two very large bottles of water on each side-and who does it; Hey Botkier, a simple sports bag will do just fine.
